Scooternerds mission statement:
Provide superior support for products we sell in a timely professional manner.
Actively remain aware of and participate in legislation affecting the scootering community. (Example: During the recent state legislative sessions our staff travelled frequently to meet with legislators in Raleigh, NC to assist in successfully defeating bills introduced requiring that scooters under 50cc in size have insurance and license)
Participate in local, state, and national trade associations directly related to scooters and the powersports industry. (Example: Scooternerds is an active member of the North Carolina Motorcycle Dealers Association)
Participate in and support efforts of local and regional scooter clubs.
Serve on and participate in boards of organizations where a benefit to the scooterist may be the result. ( Example: Our owner serves on the Downtown Greensboro Incorporated Environmental Committee and various other business forums where results like designated scooter parking spaces in city parking decks are being achieved)
Make available our facilities at no cost for any event bettering the scootering community.
Give back to the community through donations and volunteering for programs serving thus less fortunate. (Example: Scooternerds has consistently donated new vehicles to deserving students, local drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs, ministries, non profit organizations, and many other such organizations.)
Participate in local schools to provide on site hands on training for students with an interest in career in the scooter industry. (Example: Scooternerds employs college apprentice technicians and provides them the experience in an active work environment servicing and preparing scooters)
Keep on hand an adequate selection of new scooters from quality driven manufacturers along with proper service tools and an adequate supply of replacement parts.
Source and stock the most current accessories and support products desired by scooterists. (Example: Scooternerds staff members regularly travel to numerous shows and events to find the latest offering from a variety of manufacturers)
Receive current manufacturer’s training. (Example: Scooternerds’ technicians travel frequently to manufacturer’s training classes throughout the USA)
